Child Safety & CSAE Standards

Scope

This policy applies to the Civi app (as listed on Google Play) and covers child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child safety concerns within the app and related services.

Prohibited Content

• Any content that sexualizes or exploits children, including images, video, text, chats, and links to CSAM — strictly prohibited.
• Solicitation of minors for sexual activity, grooming, or exploitation — prohibited.
• Facilitating or promoting child prostitution or trafficking — prohibited.

Detection & Removal

We use automated detection (hash matching and machine learning) and human review to identify CSAE content. Content violating this policy is removed immediately and preserved for lawful reporting and investigation.

Reporting Process

To report CSAE or child safety concerns related to Civi:

1. In-app: Use the Report feature (Profile → Report) to flag CSAE or child safety concerns.
2. Email (urgent): Send details (links, usernames, timestamps, screenshots) to contact@gocivi.com.
3. Email (backup/inquiries): Use admin@gocivi.com for policy or compliance questions.

Law Enforcement & External Reporting

We promptly report CSAM and credible child exploitation to appropriate law enforcement and to industry bodies (e.g., NCMEC/IWF/INHOPE) as applicable. We cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement and follow accepted escalation procedures.

Data Handling & Retention

Reported materials are preserved securely and access is limited to authorized reviewers. We retain evidence only as necessary for investigation and legal obligations. Personal data related to reports is handled per our privacy policy.

Parental Controls & Age Targeting

Civi's age targeting and controls are described in the app. We do not permit child-targeted personalized advertising or unnecessary collection of children's personal data. Users below the minimum age are blocked from account creation where applicable; parental consent flows are used when required.
